Star-Spangled Spectacular Visiting Ships
Star-Spangled Spectacular will feature more than 30 naval vessels and tall ships from the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Norway, Germany, Spain and Turkey. The ships arrive on September 10 and depart on September 16 with public visitation between September 11 – 15, generally from noon until 5:00 PM. This will vary to some degree from ship to ship. Please check individual ship pages by clicking any ship in the list below.
Getting to the Navy Ships Berthed at North Locust Point
The naval ships at North Locust Point are in a secure zone. Visitors to these ships MUST go through security screening at the Inner Harbor Spectacular Shuttle Stop (at Light St. and W. Conway St.) and then board the shuttle as follows:
This shuttle will run from the Inner Harbor Spectacular Shuttle Stop (at Light St. and W. Conway St.) to North Locust Point, September 11-15. This shuttle will also return to the Inner Harbor.
Visitors who choose to stay and visit Fort McHenry may take a free shuttle from North Locust Point to Fort McHenry (only Sept 11, 13, 14) and then return to the Inner Harbor via the Fort McHenry shuttle (Sept. 13-14), the Charm City Circulator, MTA Bus No. 1, or (new) Fort McHenry Express.
(Please note that the Fort McHenry shuttle will take visitors to Fort McHenry only, not to the ships at North Locust Point.)
Visitors to any naval vessels, as well as to Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine and Martin State Airport, must adhere to a strict bag policy. View the complete bag policy.
One ADA shuttle will be provided from the Inner Harbor Spectacular Shuttle Stop to North Locust Point. Please note that the Navy ships are not ADA-accessible. However viewing the ships from the pier will be possible in a wheel chair.
All ADA shuttles are for one passenger and one aide only. The rest of your party will not be permitted to use the ADA Shuttle.
In an effort to provide a positive experience for all attendees, the Star-Spangled Spectacular Coordinators have created access plans to help navigate to and around the event.
